I have a CD jukebox made by Brennan model B2. It is Linux based.

    # uname -a

    Linux brennanb2 4.19.23 #1 Thu Aug 27 14:50:17 BST 2020 armv6l GNU/Linux

This is not a Linux desktop but more an embedded Linux application. I do have command line root access.

It appears to be recognized but I can’t get any sound out of it when it connects to the B2. The linux is completely ALSA based. The S/PDIF output from the B2 to the Q4 works find. The Q4 accepts the USB input from a Windows 10 machine just fine.

    The USB device reports as:

    T: Bus=01 Lev=03 Prnt=04 Port=01 Cnt=02 Dev#= 12 Spd=12 MxCh= 0

    D: Ver= 1.10 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS=64 #Cfgs= 1

    P: Vendor=262a ProdID=9113 Rev=00.01

    S: Manufacturer=SYC

    S: Product=SA9123 USB Audio

    C: #Ifs= 3 Cfg#= 1 Atr=80 MxPwr=100mA

    I: If#=0x0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 1 Cls=03(HID ) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=usbhid

    I: If#=0x1 Alt= 0 #EPs= 0 Cls=01(audio) Sub=01 Prot=00 Driver=snd-usb-audio

    I: If#=0x2 Alt= 0 #EPs= 0 Cls=01(audio) Sub=02 Prot=00 Driver=snd-usb-audio

Does anyone know if there are any error in this or something special I have to do to get it work? Other people with different DAC products do get it to work as plug and play so the B2 does accept some DACs.

    Thanks

RAY – Just a thought but have you tried bringing up the B2 in a Win Audio Editing app (I’m a Mac Guy 😉 & outputting the signal to the –Fosi Audio DAC-Q4 ? I’m not sure what your endgame is but it might give you some more info for troubleshooting the problem – I’m guessing you’re trying to put together mix tapes…
