I too use HA via HA-Green (Raspberry Pi) controller.
However, I'm still looking for the S3 Lite od S4 specs as a digital transport; USBC-out and USBAs-in, Optical-in, Optical-out, HDMI-out and HDMI-Arc-in. Exlcude DAC and XLR. A back panel teaser image would nice.
In an online drill-down of DAC processors, I think I'm closer to finding an answer to my question on the ZD3s USB input timing, clock and popping implementation. It appears the onboard XMOS XU316 chipset (used within USB input signals) is capable of asynchronous clock timing and popping checks...
I too have a ZD3 question: What USB input implementation method does the ZD3 DAC use; Adaptive or Asynchronous. In your CD transport development please consider including a simple DAC to USB output mode that includes an Asynchronous clock.
I think Fosi is on the right track for the S3-Lite capabilities you list. However, the following specs should take priority, eliminate DAC, XLR outputs and display screen. Consider adding One, preferably Two USB (low noise) input ports. With those additional input ports I'll be able to connect...
I too would like a Fosi CD/SACD player with pure digital output. I acknowledge SACDs are a niche format but have an SACD library. I've taken to using an old Harmon Kardon DVD 48 via its RCA analog outs for 2-ch SACD sound. But am I getting the good stuff?
In 2013, moving cross-country I sold my...
I'm liking what Fosi is designing into the future S3 streamer. I currently use a WiiM Ultra streamer via optical out to a ZD3 DAC onward via XLR to two ZA3 amps bridged output to a coupof Emotiva Airmotiv XB3
Bought a new pair (11/04/25) ZA3 amps setup is in mono via XLR to ZD3. Sounds great! However, one of the amps power indicator LED lights is very dim vs the other brightly lit. Should I be concerned? The light difference is distracting.
