Seems like I have figured out a work around. It's cheesy, but it works. I play a 20000hz test tone at low volume in the background which keeps the amp on. I have tried higher frequencies but so far anything above 20 doesn't seem to work. Your mileage may vary, lol. Not the best solution I know...
