Preamp Q8 Desktop DAC Preamp Development Log

Hi Charles. -Here are the inputs I consider necessary for my use case (only my case): USB-C x1 (computer) HDMI x1 (TV) Coaxial x1 (CD player) Optical x2 (Streamer, CD player) RCA analog x1 (in case I want to connect an analog device, so the Q8 acts as a preamplifier, but I don't really see...

Preamp Q8 Desktop DAC Preamp Development Log

Hello, Barbabravo. It's true that these modules are expensive and don't fit Fosi's budget pricing philosophy, but on the other hand, it's a fact that the TPA3255 has its power limitations, even more so with demanding speakers. Perhaps a more premium Fosi line would be welcomed by users if it...

For example: If Fosi were to make a power amp with Hypex modules and with this appearance, in a slightly smaller format, obviously, I'm sure many of us would buy it without hesitation.

Co-Create LCXX Physical VU Meter Matrix Switcher Survey

Hi, Charles! I definitely don't like a display screen at all. My idea was to have the ability to change the background somehow. Even if it means disassembling the front. Or, at least, to be able to choose between a few different options before purchasing. I think analog needles give any piece of...

Co-Create LCXX Physical VU Meter Matrix Switcher Survey

Hello everyone! I think this is excellent news. Regarding the design, I have two observations: 1. I don't think it's appropriate to have a 15-degree angle at the front. It would force the user to place it below their line of sight. Personally, I keep my devices at a high altitude, where there's...

    Linear power supply PSU20

Good morning! In my opinion, it all depends on the retail price of both products. 1. This option would force users to purchase the linear power supply or install an external one, which might not meet the necessary requirements for the Q8. 2. I think it's a good option if it doesn't increase the...

Good afternoon, gentlemen. I partially agree with what Massimo says. I find the phono stage absolutely unnecessary in 99% of cases. I really don't know any vinyl record enthusiast who, either starting out or over time, doesn't use a dedicated external phono preamp. This unnecessarily increases...

    New Fosi Audio ZP3 preamplifier!

Well, finally, we have the ZP3! A test unit has just arrived, and I have to share my first impressions. First of all, the weight and appearance of the packaging already bode well. The details are more carefully considered, and as I get deeper into the unboxing, the experience improves. In the...

Hi, Charles! I love the idea of "vintage - old school" analog VU meters like the LC30. I hope you take it into consideration. Saludos!

Hi, Marco! Agree. Disagree. Dadicated button so far better! Agree! Agree. I really don't know. Thanks! No phono stage = less costs. It's likely to be a good addition.

I understand that a preamp shouldn't generate so much heat that it requires extra vents. But maybe I'm wrong. Personally, I'd prefer not to have them unless absolutely necessary and the unit is as sealed as possible to prevent dirt from entering.

This will be possible thanks to the implementation of the high-pass filter, or HPF. It really looks like a more than interesting product.
