I've heard Bluetooth being used in mesh and/or piconet configuration; enabling wireless multi-device connectivity. Would this be an in-demand or a useful feature for those who'd rather not run wires for multi-channel/multi-speaker setup? Personally, I'd choose more USB ports over multiple SPDIF...
