I have an vintage Akai AP-206C, because the Fosi Luna takes to long... At first I connected the Fosi X1 > ZH3 > SP3 > ZA3. Result was to low volume (probably my very low output 2,5 mV pickup element). Had to add a line driver to get descent output. But, it gained a lot of noise and phone...

I can only tell you now, that after upgrading, my ZH3 is working as it should, no skipping, autoswitch my Mac, and a very good sound + usability.

Problem solved, went back to 1 ZA3, could not hear the difference between the 2 mono's or 1 stereo, so there was no more use for the second ZA3.

Just FYI, I now have the ZH3, ZP3 and ZA3... with the I5 headphones (my second set, the first crashed on the ground which killed the drivers!) Everything works great, sadly, the ZP3 is only used for the tone controls, but hey, there is np other quality solution at this moment. My complaint about...

Why do u use 2 ZH3's?

Just wondering, I have a system build around the 48V ZA3, ZP3 and ZH3. The ZP3 is only used for tone control. If I replace the ZA3+ZP3 for the new BT20pro max, would the amplifier part be better? (or not?) I can stil return the ZP3. Thanks for the reply's!

Nice knob! I don't know how I will deal with all the different Fossi knobs, I like the orange, but they are all different designs.. I just found out, that my 2 volume knobs (of different ZA3 batch), were not aligned correctly! one of the 2 was 1 teeth off. (you can pull the know off and reposition) Easy to check if you turn them both to their endstops, this is how I found out.

I Love my ZH3, doubles as a DAC, pre-amp and a very nice headphone amp.

To be sure, can you switch amps to eliminate all the other factors? wiring, power supply? In doubt I would ask for an exchange.
