    Fosi i5 - My 1st Review

Turns out the bass fix sealing ring is not glued in place and can easily be removed. Ran a few small experiments, but will need more time to comprehend the difference. I did notice the bass seemed to be tighter and clearer with the ring in place. Has anyone played with this sealing ring, or...

    Fosi i5 - My 1st Review

Listening again tonight (some Michael Jackson) and stopped on the particular words/notes that really stood out. 1.57 of Heal the World. With the lyric …..there “are” people dying…..the word “are” is piercingly loud compared to the others. I then played a 696Hz freq video on YouTube and yup, the...

    Fosi i5 - My 1st Review

Thanks @claudio mp I’ll try a few small mods to see if it helps like you suggest, without removing the clarity elsewhere. Aside from those peaks (for my ears) the headphones perform really well.

It works really well already but obviously with some degradation in quality. I’m confident if Fosi put their R&D hats on they’d find a valid solution that keeps audio quality at “audiophile” expected levels (or very close)!

Thanks Joseph, really happy with the result. I’m even thinking of modifying the front panel and building in some storage behind (hidden shelves) for my virtual drumming gear or maybe even my guitar amp. Also thinking of building in some extra speakers to the internals potentially with a small...

Thanks Joseph, it really is liberating walking around listening to music on a great set of headphones, rather than being stuck at a desk. It works quite well as it is, but if Fosi can lock into a “high quality audio” version I really think it will compliment their existing range perfectly...

Thank mate. It did take a while to get the sliding shelf in but really happy with the end result. Glad I have the Fosi gear to compliment the setup as it fits in perfectly!

Love the headphones. This particular wireless transmitter has limited settings (ie set to a single frequency) so may run into some issues but works well for me. Because of this limitation though it is “plug and play”. Ie turn both transmitter and receiver on and connect to the source auxiliary...

@Lavida, i5s are really well made and sound amazing. I’ve been using them the last few nights with my recording and love them! Well worth the money in my opinion and seems to be consistently positive reviews.

A bit more of the organ conversion project in the other DYI group, but the end result for my antique, sleek, modest Digital Audio Workstation that packs a punch when it comes alive and my creative juices are flowing. This setup lets me get away from the world and casually listen to some music...

My main DYI project was inspired by my family piano whilst also wanting to create a dedicated work space to create music, that would not take up a whole room. I found a beautiful old organ that I decided to convert into a modern but antique looking Digital Audio Workstation. The antique look...

Robin here and thanks for the opportunity. I’ll post my DYI audio workstation / organ conversion project separately, but my main commercially viable idea (that is a little controversial for true audiophiles), is to create a high quality “lossless” wireless transmitter and receiver combo, that...
