Hello,
I already own a ZD3 with a linear Studer900 power supply and Sparkos SS3602 OP-AMP (I saw a video from https://www.youtube.com/@christian_schwarzbeck and ordered the ZD3 straight away. It really is extremely good. A masterpiece). Another video from Christian Schwarzbeck (a very good channel. Very competent and he often answers questions on the same day) also made me aware of the V3 Monos. I am so impressed with the sound that I sent a previously ordered YAMAHA A-S701 back to Amazon. The Yamaha did not come anywhere close to the sound of the V3 Mono.
Now my question:
I would like to replace the OP-AMPs with Sparkos SS3602. Your homepage shows 3 operational amplifiers. The first is responsible for converting symmetrical to asymmetrical at the RCA input. 2nd + 3rd OP-Amp for sound tuning. Will it have a sound effect if I also replace the OP-AMP, which is responsible for the RCA conversion?
I also saw in Christian Schwarzbeck's video that the actual functional amplifier is attached to the housing using thermal paste. Unfortunately, I have not found any information on whether and how this thermal paste needs to be replaced after opening.
