I have tested a number of devices via HDMI to the Fosi Audio ZD3 DAC with no success.
The issue I would like to get working is to connect a Xiaomi Mi Box S via HDMI to the ZD3 DAC for streaming using Chromecast while I am waiting for the S3 Lite development to complete. I have tested playing music from Emby and YouTube Music apps on my Samsung Galaxy S24+, then select my media player (Mi Box S) to cast to. The audio stream is successfully transferred from my phone to the media player which is connected via HDMI to the ZD3 DAC but no sound. Yes, the HDMI input on the DAC was selected.
I have also tested music from the Volumio android app on my phone to a Raspberry Pi 3B+ connected via HDMI to the ZD3 DAC but no sound. Same thing with piCorePlayer on Raspberry Pi connected via HDMI to the ZD3 DAC.
I also tested using different HDMI cables but no luck. What is different about the Fosi Audio ZD3 DAC HDMI implementation?
