Headphone Amp ZH3 - Auto Power-On via USB / 12V Trigger

My ZH3 is connected to a PC via USB. Every time the PC boots or wakes from sleep, I still need to manually turn the ZH3 on using the knob or remote.

Is auto power-on technically possible via a firmware update?
For example:
Power on automatically when USB audio is detected
Power on when the device receives USB power

Can the 12V trigger be used for this purpose somehow?
Is there a supported or recommended way to use the trigger input with a PC or USB-based trigger device?
