Hi all,
I got a BT30D Pro two months ago. I'm generally very pleased with it for my desk setup, but it behaves oddly on the first turn-on after being off for a while. Here's what happens:
Anyone else seeing this with their BT30D Pro? Or is it just me experience this "normal behavior?" (I have the 32V power supply, if that makes any difference.) I'm getting less OK with having to jump through hoops in order to power on the amp, and I'm concerned about the longevity of the hardware.
I got a BT30D Pro two months ago. I'm generally very pleased with it for my desk setup, but it behaves oddly on the first turn-on after being off for a while. Here's what happens:
- I turn the power switch on.
- The red indicator light comes on briefly (< 1 sec.) then blinks off.
- I turn the power switch off again.
- If I wait a few seconds before turning the switch on again, then the amp is active and I can use it.
the internal capacitors of the unit are initially discharged. On the first power-on, the inrush current may be high, which can trigger the power supply’s protection. This is normal behavior.
