The future of audio is digital. Some say that future is now. But is it?

Every piece of audio equipment has a digital veneer - a wrapper, festooned with digital goodies. But (to my knowledge) none have even tried to bring this technology to it's fruition. All the equipment on the market today is ANALOG stuff, with a few digital adaptations. Time to bring it on home.

All processing except the final power phase can be digital. A DAC (if necessary) could be the first thing the audio signal sees. TI's chip proves this but fails to take it where it can go. Volume, balance, tone control... all these things can be done digitally, with none of the phase relation alteration that is the mark of using capacitors and inductors to shape the sound.

The new digital fosi would have only a hdmi port, and a mouse adapter. It would use a monitor to proffer it's abilities to the user in the popular 'gui' format. With a cordless mouse (or specialized controller) your customer will be able to select and engage any or all of the functions the digital fosi has to offer - select input, stream, even record. Individual channels could be accessible, offering the user the opportunity to customize their sound for the room they use.

Programs like adobe audition hint at the capabilities the new digital amps could offer. Let your imagination run wild :)

In closing, I say the digital audio era is just beginning! Agree? Then cash in on it. Be the first!
