Intermittent noise issue on ZD3+ZA3 combo

Hello

I have a ZD3 connected via HDMI to a Sony LCD TV and via a TOSLINK to a Chromecast Audio. The ZD3 is driving two ZA3's in mono mode through RCA cables. The ZD3 controls the ZA3's through its 12V output trigger.
  • For the first hour or so, the system plays just fine but after some time, an intermittent clicking noise appears in the left speaker only.
  • I have attached an audio recording of the noise to this post.
  • If I disconnect the RCA cable between the ZD3 and the le,ft ZA3, the problem disappears.
  • If I disconnect the 12V triggers, the problem persists.
  • If I disconnect the HDMI cable, the problem persists.
  • If I replace the Chromecast Audio with the USB output of a laptop and switch the ZD3 to USB input, the problem persists.
To me, this points to a problem with the ZD3, what do you think?

I've had the exact same problem for a week now. I have the same configuration as yours, a monoblock and the same DAC. I use XLR cables, but the noise in the left speaker is crazy. I've also removed and installed triggers, changed cables, removed the external fans, bought new cables, and swapped places, but this noise appears about an hour after everything is turned on.

Hi Linkestis
Please ser my reply in the other thread in the amplifier section. I Think it’s an EMR issue from neighbour components such as ac/dc converters etc. Try removing the BT antenna and make some free space around your ZD3. It seems to have worked for me.

Hi sbiehe,I saw your answer in the other topic, removing the antenna does not solve the problem for me, the interesting thing is that I have had the dac for almost two months and this confusing noise appeared about a week ago. For me, this is some kind of problem in the dac itself, that is, it happened a week ago, the interesting thing is that in 90% of the topics, Fosi support does not take any action on user topics...
