DAC Mac Sequoia system volume control isn't adjusting volume of Fosi K7

I'm running the latest operating system Apple Sequoia 15.4.1 on a Mac Studio M4. The Mac system volume control isn't controlling the digital volume control of the Fosi K7 in either UAC 1.0 or UAC 2.0 mode. In UAC 1.0 mode, the system volume control GUI appears on my screen but it isn't actually adjusting the volume of the K7 and in UAC 2.0, the Mac system volume control shows it disabled on the screen. Having the mic only work in UAC 1.0 is fine for my needs but being able to control the system volume when using the Fosi K7 is very important since my speakers are connected to the RCA jacks on the back of the K7. Is there a setting or firmware update to resolve this issue?
