Preamp Modding the P3

I would like to know if the decision to solder the op amps in the P3 was made to reduce costs or because of compatibility issues with other op amps. Would it be possible to unsolder the 5532 opamps in the P3 and solder in a pair of 8-pin sockets for op amp rolling? Is there a good reason not to do this?

The NE5532 OPamps in the ZP3 are not soldered in allowing you to opamp roll them .

I'm talking about the Fosi P3 valve preamp.
