Fosi MD3 Press Release
It appears another Fosi device has emerged, but I haven’t seen any discussion here yet. So I’d like to start the conversation, and hopefully someone who was able to attend Canjam Dubai can give more details & impressions of the UI (User Interface) - does it offer any new features relative to the DS3? When I first saw the screen I immediately thought of the wonderful tone controls implemented on the ZH3. Will this device have similar UI/features to the ZH3?
The aesthetics of the device look great, and I’m sure the sound quality is up to the Fosi standards we all appreciate. What really creates a buzz in today’s market is differentiating features, and the MD3 so far has mag-safe and a screen. Anything else we should know about? Will it support future EQ like the DS3?
One last semi-related thought: the Chord Mojo 2 has remained in a league of its own for several years with no competition in sight. If Fosi took the MD3 and made it a little bigger to accommodate a battery (=more headphone power), plus more digital (coax/opt) AND analog inputs, and top it off with the ZH3 UI and DS3 EQ app, all in a super sleek portable form factor. That would be a major breakthrough for portable DAC-Amps…
