I have an old dbx passive sub that has 4 high level (speaker) inputs -- left +, left -, right +, right -. The TP-02 only has 2 outputs -- +, -. Do I need to connect the amp to only one set of inputs or will I then only get half the signal to the sub? Or can I hook the amp up to both the left/right sub inputs either by running two wires from each amp output -- the + output sending one wire to the left + and right + on the sub and the amp - sending wires to both the left - and right - terminals on the sub?
Another way would be to run one wire each from the amp in the conventional way to, say, the left + and left - sub terminals and use a short bridge wire to connect the left sub terminals to the corresponding +/- right terminals. Sorry to go into such tedious detail, but I want you to understand the issue. I just want the sub to get the maximum benefit from the TP-02 without somehow damaging the amp. Thank you for your kind attention!
