X5 ac adapter buzz

Hello all,
I have tried the Fosi Box X5 as pre-amp for my MM record player. I liked the sound, size and looks, but the AC adapter (for 220V input) made a buzz just loud enough to be disturbing. I therefor have returned the X5.
I now wonder if more people have this experience, is there something to be done, or an alternative brand AC adapter. Or has Fosi maybe even (hopefully) addressed this issue and currently include a better silent adapter?
If there is a solution to the buzz I consider buying it again...

I have exactly the same problem. It's loud enough that I'll have to send back too.

It's a shame as it seems great otherwise.

Just unlucky? Is it worth trying again?

Same problem here, just returned mine. I was thinking the same thing as you - should I try another one? I really like the amp, sound is great except for when you have a break in the music and you hear the humming and buzzing. I've tried everything I can think of to correct the problem.

I solved this problem in my setup with Luna 3 turntable and Box X5 as follows.

In my setup the powersupply of the Luna 3 was the source of distortion noise, so I placed all powersupplys as far as possible away from the X5 and the wiring between turntable and X5.
Another source of distortion noise may be the RCA cable. I had to change one cable in my setup.

You may still hear minimal distortion noise if one of your amps in the full setup is at 100%, but I think this is a general problem of amplifiing a signal from turntables.

Maybe there is a better way to solve the problem, but it works for me.

I received a second X5 from Fosi and no noise using the exact same configuration/setup as with the first unit. I wasn't able to swap out the power supply to see if that was the culprit with the first one. As Magnum stated, you'll only hear a minimal amount of distortion at full volume but that's the nature of the beast.
