ZD3 display off function

Firstly, I'm very pleased with the ZD3 so far, sounds great and does everything I want (nearly!).

Behaviour of 'display off'. Possibly change via firmware?

I use the ZD3 in my living room for watching movies and TV using the HDMI ARC input (great feature). I would like to run it in 'display off' mode permanently. I don't need to see the bright OLED always shining underneath the tv.

I've noticed when I select 'display off' via the remote, the display turns off as expected, when the volume is adjusted the display comes back on (great, as you need to see the volume level to adjust it), but it doesn't turn off again, it just stays on. It would be great if it remembered that you wanted the display off, so a few seconds after adjusting the volume it went back to display off again. Would also be good if it remembered 'display off' after a power cycle. Or next best, maybe add display dimming feature? Cheers.

I completely agree with this request and would love to see this implemented in a future firmware update. The OLED display on the ZD3 is simply too bright, especially in a dark room. A proper display dimming option would be a great addition.

Additionally, I really hope the device can remember the 'display off' setting after adjusting the volume and even after a power cycle. It’s frustrating to manually turn off the display every time.

Thank goodness i am using bypass mode, but still, having to use the remote to dial my settings in every time i power on the ZD3 is frustrating; especially when i use the 12V trigger to power the thing on, not wanting to touch an additional remote.

I really appreciate the features and quality of the ZD3, but this small quality-of-life improvement would make the experience so much better. Hopefully, the team can consider adding this feature soon through some firmware update.

BTW, how do we get notified of such updates? I am not able to find anything apart from a link on Google Drive tor 1.08 which is already what I had on my unit.

Could you please share the 1.0.8? I have the huge popping issue when connecting the ZD3 via USB to the Wiim Ultra. This happens when I start playing music. Spdif everything is ok. Maybe the issue is fixed in 1.0.8. I'm on 1.0.7 right now.
