Since taking delivery of a V3 Stereo, I have spent most of the weekend looking for a simple way to add a passive subwoofer. I have not yet managed to find a basic 2.1 preamp, other than a few boards on eBay. Just a couple of inputs, maybe bluetooth, and subwoofer crossover. This product would have made no sense a few years ago but with products like the V3 it makes less sense not to have one. It would offer a clear upgrade path and would get the DIYers building some more interesting subwoofer enclosures if they don't have to worry about building an amp into them.
