Issue - Samsung TV connected by HDMI ARC to ZD3 - uses CEC so that one remote turns all devices attached by hdmi on/off and changes volume on the ZD3. The problem is that the ZD3 turns back on 30 seconds after shutdown and also turns on anything connected to the HDMI daisy chain. One solution is to change the ZD3 input before shutting everything down, and turn off the ZD3 via it's own remote. If the ZD3 isn't using the HDMI input it won't turn back on after shutdown. You just need to change the input back to HDMI when you want to watch TV again.
I just found out the Logitech Harmony Hub works with Fosi devices. That's very nice of Logitech, since they discontinued the product in April 2021. But they added the Fosi ZD3 to their database. For anyone interested, the Harmony app for IOS and iPadOS still works. I set up the on/off function to shift the inputs to and from HDMI as needed, and that ended the need to use the ZD3 remote. I now use the Harmony app for optical and usb inputs as well.
Who knows when they will shut off the Harmony server. When they do the remotes will finally cease to function. But for the moment it works. Harmony Hubs are available for $20 on eBay.
