I'm currently playing most of my flac files from a FIIO X3 v2 on a 128GB SD. This line output to XLR is plugged into the ZP3 in... it sounds lovely and I'm happy enough with a similar music collection on my X3.
I'm likely going to grab the S3 streamer so I can have XLR end to end... and once that supports NAS/SMB connections, it will allow me to grow my collection and quickly listen to my entire music collection on the NAS.
The perfect hardware would have internal M.2 (one or more) to store the files locally, and a screen similar to the FIIO on the unit to allow me to quickly select albums and show the cover art on the screen.
This is pretty much.. FIIO X3 + S3 Streamer combo. Thank you.
+ the S3 will likely require an iOS/Android app or hopefully webapp to actually select and play the music from the device and connect my streaming services to it. I'd like to be able to do both.. physically select an album on the device or on the app.
