V3 Mono’s clicking on/off in standby

My two V3 Mono’s are set to “Auto” and generally work great with my WiiM Pro Plus. However, one of them keeps clicking on and off when nothing is playing. What could be the problem? Have the single 48w/10A PS hooked up to them via the supplied noise filter.

Update: It seems that setting the gain of my Fosi V3 Monos to 25db instead of 31 makes them not turn on at random as they did before. At least they no longer do after having switched the gain settings on them. Still hooked up to my WiiM ULTRA.

Hi again. As I mentioned before, my two V3 Monos no longer randomly turn on and off. I do however experience a somewhat odd difference between the two. When I stop playing sound, one will go to auto off within 30 seconds. The other one will take about ten minutes to do so. Switching them around does not change anything. Can I have received two units that are programmed differently in this respect? I was a part of the first Kickstarter.

I have 2 new V3 monos (post august 2024) and they turn off within a split second apart after some minutes. The 30 seconds sound wrong.

I have a supplement: the above statement regards using XLR as input. When using the RCA-cables, one powers off after about 5 minutes, the takes >>10 minutes to power off. The one that is late turning off is also experiencing sporadic turn-ons and often keeps on for long time.

I had a lot of problems with this. Had to return one unit that would not power on or stay on in auto mode. With the new unit, I get erratic behavior with continuous clicks and on/off cycles. Ended up buying a trigger, and its working flawlessly (AUDIOPHONICS Trigger 12V 230V Slave Power Supply Device).

There is obviously a quality issue with the V3 monos.
